Class of 2018

I interned at Scenic America, the only national non-profit dedicated to preserving the visual character of America's communities and countryside mainly through national advocacy and supporting state affiliates. While at Scenic America, I researched state bylaws and statutes pertaining to jurisdictional powers over sign laws which were devolved to municipalities or held by the state. I also simultaneously participated in Illinois in Washington and earned 6 hours of academic credit.

Most Valuable? It was a valuable experience to get a first-hand experience with policy and working closely with the President and other experienced staff of Scenic America.

Future Plans? After graduation I plan to go to law school out in Washington, DC, and work as a human rights lawyer focusing on corporate social responsibility.
