Class of 2019

I was a Congressional intern in the House of Representatives in the Office of Congressman Rodney Davis (IL-13) during Spring, 2017 and also participated in Illinois in Washington and earned 12 hours of academic credit.  While on the Hill I:

  • Answered constituent and other telephone calls, letters and e-mails.
  • Provided support functions for permanent Congressional Staff.
  • Guided U.S. Capitol tours to visitors and guests of Congressman Davis.
  • Attended House Committee on Agriculture meetings as directed and preparing memos for the Congressman's staff.

Most valuable? I learned extensively about the legislative process from my experience, which further progressed my passion for politics.

Future plans?  To attend law school following graduation.
