Class of 2018

While in Washington, D.C., I interned with American Farmland Trust as a Development Intern. American Farmland Trust is an organization that protects farmland and ranch land in the United States, promotes environmentally sound farming practices and keeps farmers on the land. The internship allowed me to learn more about maintaining membership engagement, donor research and cultivation, and advocating for agriculture policy.

Most valuable? I found the internship valuable not only because I had an opportunity to learn and work in our nation's capitol, but also because it expanded my professional network within the agriculture industry.

Future plans? Upon graduation, I will be working in the Human Resources department at Farm Credit Illinois based in Mahomet, IL.
