Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics (ACE)
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Students in the Agribusiness Markets and Management undergraduate option in the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics learn management skills and meet with industry leaders and managers. The option includes many hands-on opportunities for learning, from seminars with visiting executives to internships. Students are prepared for entry level management positions and are sought by firms involved in the production, marketing, sales, and financing of farm inputs, agricultural commodities, and food products.

The Farm and Agribusiness Management area of specialization for graduate students is oriented toward a wide range of management and decision issues relevant to firms in the food and agribusiness sector. Cooperation with the College of Business allows students to take courses or minor in related business fields. Research areas include decision analysis, information systems, operations management, business organization and strategy, marketing tactics and strategy, and behavior of organizations and decision makers. Close ties with industry executives enrich students' opportunities.
