Research

My research program uses applied economics to address policy-relevant questions in the area of household finance in the field of family and consumer economics. Specifically, I examine issues related to household liquidity and credit access, financial strain and health, delinquency and bankruptcy, gender and marital differences in household financial decisions, the credit behaviors and financial socialization of young adults, and the impact of financial education and program evaluation.
