The Illinois Rural Health Workshop is a University of Illinois Extension program working with rural communities in Illinois and around the Midwest through the development and provision of economic information about the local health care sector. The program aims to help community members realize the economic importance of their local health care sectors and to provide information that supports community health planning efforts. | |

Illinois Tax School | |
Since 1940, University of Illinois Extension has sponsored annual Tax Schools. It began as basic taxation schools for teaching farmers how to prepare their own taxes. Over the years, it evolved into a professional continuing education program for income tax practitioners. Approximately 6,000 tax professionals attend University of Illinois Tax Schools each year.The two-day Fall Tax School is offered annually between October 25 and December 12 at various locations throughout Illinois. Fall Tax School includes the lates federal tax updates, tax issues related to individuals, as well as small business retirement, IRS, special taxpayers, and other taxation topics of special interest to tax professionals. The Federal Tax Workbook is a 700 page reference manual provided to registrants of the Fall Tax School. This workbook is also sold to other universities and associations offering similar tax seminars throughout the United States. | |
